This is one of the most common questions we hear — and the honest answer is: timelines depend on severity, season, parts, and most important your INSURANCE COMPANY. The good news is that a hail-focused shop can usually keep things moving efficiently, even during peak storm volume.
Typical timeline ranges
Light hail: 2–5 business days
Moderate hail: 1–2 weeks
Heavy hail / peak season: 2–4+ weeks
When paint is broken, timelines can change (but the process is still straightforward)
If the paint is cracked or missing, the job may include additional steps like targeted refinishing and cure time. That can extend the schedule compared to pure PDR — but it doesn’t mean you’re stuck in a drawn-out, conventional repair process. A hail-specialist approach (metal restoration first, refinish only as needed) often keeps the scope tighter and the outcome cleaner. Keeping your factory paint in tact is our ultimate goal and will keep the warranty on your paint.
What causes delays?
Waiting on insurance approvals/supplements! This is the worst part but we have perfected speeding this along.
Parts availability (moldings, trim, headliners, glass)
Peak-season volume after major storms but we do scale accordingly to meet demand.
